I can't speak for every male collector, but I do 
seem to have a lot of 16 year olds in my 
collection.  But you know, I really don't have a 
clear cut answer I collect them.  I think it's in 
part that I like the innocence and determination 
that many of them portray.  They are still a 
child in heart, but yet have to fill the role of 
an adult, and yet still manage to keep their 
compassion in the end.  And if need be, still 
beat someone up, or order one of their subjects 
to do the dirty work for them.  Though on a side 
note, one of my friends, who is a girl, did make 
an observation about my collection awhile back.  
She asked why did my collection have some many 
girls with pointed ears?  You know, I hate when 
someone points out the obvious, and yet you 
didn't really realize it yourself. O_o 

So if none of the above helps explain why I 
collect cels of girls. I think all I'm left with 
is to say, "just because I can."
