I'm from all over Mass, and occasionally RI, but 
I spent a good portion of growing up in 
Dorchester.  Heh, yeah, I'm such a street thug. 
The stories I could tell...anyhoo I also have no 
accent *shrugs* I dunno, I can mimic accents 
wonderfully, just never got one of my own.


by the way--all new england accents aren't the 
same.  I can tolerate a boston accent (sharp 
aaahs instead of ars), rhode island accents sound 
much more thug-ish (think mafia accent...you 
watch the Sopranos? yeah, exactly it) And as for 
maine... heh heh, well that one's very 
distinctive, just watch a stephen king movie.  
Got no experience in NH, Vermont, or conneticut 
though.
