They announced a 64 percent profit gain for last
year right before they announced they were
raising the seller fees...

Gee, I thought that was pretty darn good?  How
the heck are they HURTING so much with a huge
profit like that so they have to drain every 
last cent from the seller?

Charging for the Buy It Now feature is 
ridiculas.  It just means I won't use that
feature any longer.  I'll either run shorter
auctions, start my prices higher or just let
them run the full monty.

Or not list at all.

With those increases (as eBay was already
taking a HEFTY slice out of even the smallest
transactions!) I'll definitely reconsider when
thinking about listing ANYTHING.  If you only
sell an item for $3.00 and end up paying $0.46
in fees BEFORE you add $0.25 gallery or $0.05 
Buy It Now or (etc etc) why sell at all?  And
if they pay by Paypal... ugh, in the end you
might end up making pennies on the dollar.  
Why even go through the hassle?

Their customer service already SUCKED... and
now we have to pay more for it?  Half of the time
I don't even get a response when I ask about
something!!

The problem, of course, is that they have
hardly any COMPETITION... no other auction site
(or "glorified online yardsale") comes CLOSE when
you consider the number of hits...

eBay might hurt a little if a lot of their sellers
quit SELLING, though... and I think they'll find
a lot of their "useful" tools not being used
now that they cost us money...
