you can say that again.  i am sexually and 
emotionally starving, and cel collecting fills 
the void, but thats not the reason I collect.  i 
love the artwork, the storylines, and the 
similarites i find in both me and my favorite 
characters.  i consider myself an art collector, 
not an anime-geek (which is what is 
sterotypically the kind of person that would be 
deprived in the way you noted).  i do not however 
believe that the animation market is there to 
capitalize on it (except hentai, which was 
discussed).  if you want to look at this from a 
synoptic viewpoint, almost EVERYTHING in life 
capitalizes on sex in some way, but some things 
are there for non-sexual entertainment.  some 
people fill the void with drugs, others collect 
cels, no matter the series.  People that are 
emotionally and sexually starving will fill that 
void with anything, not just cels.  as a 
collector yourself, i believe you are sexually 
and emotionally starving yourself, or else you 
wouldnt have expressed that idea without knowing 
it well enough yourself.  and there's nothing 
wrong with that, because the majority of us are 
in the same boat.  Its what makes us happy that 
counts, so love what you love, collect what you 
want, and do what you want to do.
