I got the Canon (Canoscan N650U) for my b-day in 
June. I really honestly love it. It's skinny and 
stores easily, and the colors come out fantastic.

But as everyone says, the software sucks.

There's a way around that, tho!!!

I've used both Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop to 
scan my cels and they do a WONDERFUL job with 
colors.

But I've also had problems with my USB port 
getting all wobbly. Nothing serious (no need to 
replace it yet. It doesn't interfere with my 
scanning) yet. But I can see that being a huge 
problem.

Drac, might I suggest you try scanning in an art 
program? It's quite easy. Just go to "file", down 
to "Import", "TWAIN", then "Aquire". The software 
that comes with both Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro 
does the job just fine for me.

Might be something to try in your spare time. ^_^
