Being sick is never any fun.

As far as canning sketches and douga, the 
BIGGEST piece of advice I can give only applies 
if your scanner lid is black.  If it's white you 
just ignore this.. but if it's black, I highly 
highly recommend putting several layers of white 
paper (or any thick white substance, I often use 
the flipside of a background) behind any sketch 
you scan, without it the whole thing comes out 
looking kind of dark, and the only way to 
correct that is up the brightness which tends ot 
was out the colors.
