Well I have been holding back but it's "Time to start a fight"..: sorry...but High Minimum pricing for an auction to me.... (Fri Nov 30 05:39:08 2001 )

I don't know maybe it's only me, but I think that
those "minimum" auction prices are "regular"
retail prices. I think that the "reserve" prices
are set too high for a true auction. Mandarake
takes no risks. I would prefer to go through a
dealer. I find the same prices as your minimum
prices and sometimes less, on "similar" cels.
I can understand and I appreciate that such
lovely cels are being presented. And some are
very rare indeed. However, my point is that these
same cels can be sold online at those very same
prices, and Mandarake would still benefit greatly
from the proceeds. This auction is only asking
for more and more as it seems to me. And you are
trying to attract the greatest amount
of "consumer interest" by posting here. We that
read this forum have seen your messages and
postings. I think "Tomo" that you are coming
close to being a nuisance with Mandarake
promotions. Maybe it is your job to do so. But I
would like to see a "real" deal come here. I see
deals when I go to Mandarake, because I live in
Japan. But I have not seen such discount pricing
here, coming from you. I have continued to see
high prices. Why is that? When Mandarake is a
second hand goods shop?
Of course, this is not for all of the cels that I
have seen listed on the auction site(Yu Yu
Hakushou is especially appealing ;P, maybe a few
others) but in general I see no real benefit for
the collector, unless of course, there is
a "dream" or "wish-list" cel that they just must
have! "Just my O-pinion. Correct me if I am
wrong, but I live in Japan and I go to Mandarake
often. Dealers, Collectors, please correct me if
I am wrong. Thanks.
And Tomo this is not personal, I have done
business with you, and Mandarake, in general, on
several occasions and will continue to do so.
This is just my "O"-pinion.
