Perhaps I think should address a few points. 
I am in general agreement with a number of your 
observations:
1. I think I have staunchly defended dealers 
right to setting prices that they want. 
2. I agree that if prices on a series go up - 
its "Get Hard or Get out!" At a thousand bucks a 
cel, of any character short of a Mizayaki or a 
Ruri-ruri I'm out.
3. I have in fact considered in my last trip to 
Japan offering to sell my soul in Shinjuku so 
that I can afford cels in the shops in Nakano and 
Akhibaraka. Unfortunately my street act is 
not "Kawaii" enuf to land me more than a quick 
trip to the local police station. And besides 
everyone knows to make enough - work for some 
public Ministry of Works holding road signs!

I will pass on the whole FY thing. Lord knows 
you'd be getting enough hatemail.
