There was a PS OAV and a PS TV series, if I 
recall. The OAV was better than the TV series, 
but the TV series was good enough...worth it for 
the tongue-in-cheek magical girl jokes. But if 
you're looking for a truly -good- 
series...um...try Escaflowne or Cowboy Bebop :D
