Hello,

Using xe.net's currency rate is not the best indicator by
what is sometimes a long shot. Depending on the bank, you
may get a really high rate since they charge extra above
the yen rate for commission. After all, they ARE selling the
currency to you.

The rate you quoted while somewhat high, is not too far from
what my bank will be charging me to do a transfer. When I checked
today, one bank told me .0109, with the expectation for the yen
to go even higher(lower yen/dollar ratio) in the weeks to come!

The best rate I could find for reference was .01008 and that
wasn't my bank, unfortunately. But just look at the range between
those 2 figures. So, it all depends on the bank.
Still, these are REALLY high rates when you consider that the yen
has been fairly weak for some time and many of us have gotten accustomed
to getting favorable rates....

Take care, :)
