I actually have a story of an _epic_ crying moment. I often have anime marathons with my friends (whole days until 3:00 or 4:00 am), and on this particular day we watched what was for me the most tear-wrenching anime of all time, Fushigi Yuugi. Now the fact that it was late and we were tired did not help at all... When Nuriko died we stayed heroically stoic but then Tasuki started to sob, and we all started to cry on cue. (Look what you made us do, Tasuki!) Luckily I had planned for this little eventuality and had a couple of boxes of kleenex handy. I still sniffle in synch with Suboshi when I watch FY. I can't help it, I feel so sorry for him. Btw, I can relate to the Tatara/Suzuno moment too. My only disappointment was that it didn't happen like that in the manga. :(
