I don't think that the prices are globaly raising. Actualy, the average is much lower than when I started buying cels on internet a couple of years ago. But the prices for one anime or another change with the time. For example Ryoko cels are becoming more expensive because they are harder and more expensive to find in Japan : AIC released all the cels they had long ago. If you want lower prices, you have to take cels from new, relatively unknow anime. Like Tenchi was at the begining. Another good example is Birdy : I got most of my cels when the anime wasn't translated and nearly nobody wanted them. Now since it was translated, more people are looking for them but there isn't many available and the prices raise. Cheers, Yann Stettler |
