That would be helpful to have a listing. Although I'm
not very certain myself which ones do or do not use cels.
It seems that most studios now are regularly using
computers to assist in the animation production in certain
parts, but that doesn't necessarily mean they don't use cels.
Toei doesn't use cels anymore, but I think there still are
a large number of studios that haven't switched yet (AIC).
In the last two years, most of the animation has been done
with the traditional cel painting process.
What will happen? Well, we'll probably see a lot of
reproduction cels (handpainted types). |
