>>I don't know, I last watched Flight of Dragons a year or
two ago, and I still liked it. Love that opening song. I
thought the characters rather nice and enjoyed the plot.

I never said I didn't like it. =) In fact, I thought it
was rather cute. The dragons were drawn well and I loved
the colors - loved the scene where the little dragon was
born and literally hopped out of his egg. =)

>>Have to agree with you on the actors and some of the dialogue, though.

Well, if you look at most older animation scripted into
English, the voice actors are pretty bad. However,
at the time no one noticed it. I used to love watching
Thundercats, and now when I watch reruns of it I think,
"My Lord, this is REALLY awful!" Some of the actors
weren't that bad, but some of them... well, let's just say
I grimaced a lot more than I should during a cartoon.

>>That last confrontation between Peter andthe Red Wizard is great fun, however.

The best scene in the movie, so I thought. The fighting
with the "incantations" (ie. harpies, warlocks, etc. vs.
algebra, trig., etc.) was very clever. The worst scene,
however, had to be the scene when the Knight and the Dragon
are being attacked by the sandmurks (those little things
that looked like rats and chattered to drive people
insane) and the Dragon (er, Peter) started singing "Oh,
Susanna" (sp?) in an off key, really horrible tone which
almost made me leave the room.

>>And yes, Flight of Dragons was based on a book of the same
name, though the book was

Hmmm... never read it, although if it was any good I suppose
I should pick up a copy somewhere...=)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembered this movie. =)
