Why did I became a cel dealer ? Hmm, there is several
reasons, some of which are probably not what you expect :)

My "real" job is system and network engineering. I
also created a very small webhosting company and
wrote several softwares including a database with a
web interface.
In Switzerland, it's very hard to persuade shops and
small companies that electronic commerce could be
a good things for them. The easiest way was/is to
show them a real example... That's one of the two
main reasons I did the part of the website where
I resell cels. (the rest of Animanga is much older
and was just a way to fill the time left when they
stoped broadcasting Star Trek on local TV :)
So the site is not just for selling cels but for
selling webhosting and a database software...

The second main reason was that it was very hard
for me to get new cels from my collection. At
that time, there was very little dealers on
internet... To get new cels, I had to order them
from non-anime related companies in Japan. They
would "fetch" and send me cels but only if they
make enough profit of it. Which mean that I had
to order large amount of cels, without seeing or
choosing them. And naturaly, I couldn't keep them
all for me or that would have been far to expensive.
(and there was only a few ones in the bunch that
were realy interesting me... :)

Cheers,
Yann Stettler
