I can't complain about the speed right now (I'm on a T1
line ^^;) but I can give some comments (imagining I was at
home pulling hairs out while surfing on a 56K).
If I were you I would move the webrings off the main page
before cutting any of your pictures. Webrings are not
directly related to your content and are then extra
downloads for the people coming to your site. Maybe you
could (like a lot of us) have a webring page and that way
unclutter the main page?
Just a thought. :)
