*laugh*  I don't think it's tacky at all ... I've been 
wondering the very same thing since I bid more on it than I 
had ever paid for a cel (at least at that time *dies at 
recent purchase*) and lost.  *sniffle*  It really was 
the /perfect/ OAV Eagle and I'm sure that whoever had the 
winning bid now has a cel he/she loves to death. 

However, I really don't think that the price of that cel 
should have any influence on the price of Rayearth cels in 
general, since OAV Eagle cels are so /hard/ to find and the 
ones I had seen up to that point (and since, actually) were 
not that great.  He got so little screentime - especially 
when compared to the three knights (even Clef and 
Lantis, actually) and his character design was /so/ gorgeous that I 
think an inflated price is understandable ... especially in 
an auction where the only limit, really, is how obsessed the bidders 
are.  I know I would have bid more had I been able 
to afford it. ^_~.
