My suggestion is Nuriko, of course. Though a TV one will run
you a lot more than what you are probably willing to spend, an
OAV Nuriko, though not as popular would probably be a safe bet.
Maybe it's the purple hair or the sweet innocent face with big
droopy eyes, or maybe it's the fascination with the fact that he
was dressed as a woman at first, but he is by far the most popular
Fushigi Yuugi character of all time.
I have a cute mediocre OAV Nuriko for sale on my site for cheap,
but my site is currently down for Y2K upgrades and will hopefully
be back up within 24 hours, so you can have a look if you like.
Otherwise there are lots of other sites that have some very nice
OAV Nuriko cels for moderate prices.
