I'm female, and I have mostly female characters. I'm not 
into the cutesy bishonen stuff (see other thread), which is
one explanation (alas, so difficult to find real men cels
nowadays >_^). Another reason is my favorite character is
female, hence a larger ratio is taken up by just her (Washu).
The two non-pure shoujo-esque shows I happen to have the 
most cels for also happen to have more female characters than 
male, and therefore the female characters are more developed 
and interesting (i.e. Tenchi OAV, El Hazard OAV1; both Tenchi 
and Makoto are a tad bland; I WANNA HANDSOME YOSHO CEL!!!). 

Anyway, in glancing over my spreadsheet, I currently have
(or will soon have):

about 24% male-only cels
about 11% cels with both male(s) and female(s)
about 65% female-only cels

(non-human characters not counted)

HA HA HA!! Eat this!
