...aside from people taking pics and trying to
sell a cel that they dont own (these people are
maggots) I dont really have a problem with
borrowed images.
Some people dont like it at all but to be honest
if someone is going to borrow an image there isnt
much that anyone can do to stop them..just an
angry email and branding or watermarking the cel.
Branding has to be done so that the image is
unusable to another site and then it detracts
from the beauty of the image you worked so hard
to scan in the first place. I tried doing it for
a few of my cels then I realised any paint shop
can just cut it off since I dont have the heart
to make the brand bigger..
I agree with Yann a courtesy email that can be
and a little credit of where the image was taken
is the least that should be done..If I borrow non
cel images (and I have) I always email the person
I want to use the image of and include my site
address..then I link if I can because this is the
same courtesy I expect.
