Interesting, but a tad overdramatic to predict
the end of civilization because of a yaoi fan cel
and the fact, that we like it!! I must add that
the magazine coverart is pretty overdramatized
too. It IS a magazine cover!

I think you have never watched Ai no Kusabi, and
I am pretty positive that you never will.
There are a few scenes of bondage in the anime,
and believe me, you will not see one drop of
Riki's blood.

But bondage is not the main theme of this anime.
It explores the love between "Master and
Servant", a strong bond between two people from
entirely different backgrounds and social
situations. Because of the society they live in
none of them can really "shed" of their expected
roles and freely act out their love for the
other, and thus they can only be united with very
tragic circumstances.

And what Drac was talking about it is this.
While I can't imagine myself trussed up, some
people do like to be tied up and abused in some
ways. Then it is their right to have themsleves
tied up by someone else. (Yeah, I know it is odd,
but bungee jumping is not exactly "normal"
either!)
Nobody probably will ever hear of it, because
these are private matters.
(So in a way we are peepers in Riki's and Iason's
bedroom. Uh-oh, hentai!!! ^^)

And then there is the kind of bondage that most
people associate this word with. People tied up
and tortured WITHOUT their consent.
No, we would not condone these acts of violence!
None of us would want to watch an anime where the
main theme is someone getting raped.

And we could go on with this subject forever
pointing at each other and yelling "intolerant" ,
for someone else's views on a subject would be
always different then ours.
Isn't it great? What would happen to us if there
was no one to argue with???! Here is a little
hint: "resistance is futile"
(yes I know, that was a bit overdramatic too! ^^)
