If they are still making sales, even with the 
drastically inflated prices, then I don't think 
they will do more than laugh at you.

C'mon.  They're looking at the bottom line.  If 
the increased margins outweigh the lower volume, 
which way do you think they are going to go?

I'm kinda picturing a picket line of cel 
collectors from the forum, standing outside a Taro 
storefront with signs saying that the prices are 
ridiculous.  Meanwhile, a stream of new buyers is 
pushing and shoving their way inside to drop big 
bucks on the cels.... ^_^
