Yeah, I agree with you.  I recently bought two old 
cels from a Japanese dealer, one is from Megazone 
23 and another one is from Dangaio.  When I first 
bought them, it didn't state that they're laser 
copies.  Since these shows came out in the 80s, 
there's no way that they use laser copy 
backgrounds at that time.  Obviously, these cels 
are added with the laser copies later on for 
better resale.
