I have to agree as well, Ebay is taking
responsiblity on the auctions on adult stuff and
I'm glad they are. Just you didn't get what I was
saying. I mentioned the culture as an "example"
(NOT that Ebay should let it go and do nothing
about it-because that's the way the culture is:)
to people not liking that stuff; that the
Japanese are a bit different with it and some
people might be offended or think it is a sexual
thing. Just used the culture as an "example" to
say some people will be offended by it and want
it off and some won't-so some auctions will be
deleted. That's why I brought it up. NOT that
Ebay should let people place anything up because
it's a different culture. But they should go
after the people who are for real breaking the
rules, not the innocents like him. (Maybe I
didn't word it right in my last post, gomen-
gomen, but tried to write my thoughts the best I
can:) I'm glad someone is making it a bit safer
out there for kids and taking action than let
anyone come and see anything- (yet I think
parents should do something too:) If they
pursicute someone who was NOT selling adult
stuff, then it's different story I think. They
need to come up with solutions to make both sides
happy. Just based on his facts that he wasn't
doing anything wrong, then he has the right to be
mad. They should have contacted him first and see
what is up, investigate--but they seem never to
contact the seller before taking the auction off.
If they need to put up more detailed rules about
it then-more power to them, rules are a good way
to keep the order, and they should take auctions
off that violate something, but he wasn't based
on his POV. They should or if something is showy,
talk to the seller before actually taking it off
right away-to maybe get him to change something
or cover or censor an area...? Or find out why.
What is so hard for Ebay to do that?
Communication I say. I'd understand Ebay's POV,
but would have loved it they talked to me first
about it before taking it off if I had a body
part showing in a cel or something. And plus,
this is a more than one time for him. He was
selling just anime cels and stuff and Ebay did it
anyway, without getting in touch with him first
and talking about it, then seeing what can be
done to make it better. Looks like someone is
making his life a living Hell, and feel bad for
him-glad, if he wants to switch to Yahoo, more
power to him too! Maybe he'll start a revolution
and everyone gets going on Yahoo? Never do
know...? Heh, maybe I'll give it a try? *shrugs*
Heh. ^_^ They need to communicate with sellers
on this and come up with another way to make it
better. They might make bidders happy, but what
about sellers? Don't we have a say before they
wipe something out? Ebay is not perfect and might
make a mistake too-they've done this before. If
it's not hentai, then it goes to another
category, if Ebay thinks it is, then they should
talk to the seller about it, because based on
cultural differences and aspects-of which both
parties might see differently, they need to talk
about it and sellers might not have a problem
with it, and Ebay does, then come up with a
solution that will make things right for both
seller and Ebay. ^^
PEACE~
