I got a *cof cof* strongly phrased warning letter 
from ElfQuest over my fancel so I cancelled the 
auction...which puts an answer to my 'I wonder if 
fanart is illegal' question... it turn out YES!  
Or at least to them.  sheesh.  Its like with FOX 
going around and shutting down all Simpsons 
fansites (which elfquest did for a while too, 
which is why there are so few)  or any other 
number of examples I can think of with people 
going too control crazy.

So... I dunno. I don't get it, even as an 
artist.  I really don't care who uses my art... 
and I've gotten people asking if it was ok to use 
some of my images as logos, to put on t-shirts, 
and all sorts of weird stuff.  I'm just like 'you 
like my stuff that much?  yeah sure, go ahead!'

Anyhoo, I'm annoyed and a little depressed and 
disillusioned.  Probably wouldn't be if I hadn't 
been reading/had ElfQuest read to me since I was 
three and the Pinis are the closest thing I've 
ever had to idols.  -_-

It wasn't even a nice letter.  It was pretty 
nasty...
