Hi there,
I do love the image, which is why I dont want it
now.....to me it's more saddening to keep the
cel, and know it has the flaw. And, it's also
the fact that I was not made privy to the flaw
before I spent a rather nice amount of money on
it. It was the perfect cel for me of this
chracter, Im extremely dissapointed. It's like
getting a wishlist cel, only to find it's not in
good shape. It'd be different if I was made
aware of the corrective layer, but I was not.
Also, if the layers had been kept in their
respective places, the chip wouldnt have
occured. Mistakes do happen, yes, but Im of the
mind that if a professional animation house makes
a mistake like that, they should spare time to go
back and fix it properly. Then again, these guys
dont care about cel collectors, all they care
about is making the deadline for a scene, which
is totally understandable. I know how it goes,
having done it myself. Im just sad that I paid
that much for something I thought was just fine,
but was not. The cel is for sale now, but if no
one buys it, then I guess I will just keep it and
make the best of it. It's quite depressing
though, still. I dont like damaged goods, no
matter if it was fixed by the house or someone
else, it's still not the way I wanted it. Most
likely though no one will want the cel, so I will
keep it.
