An anime ethics question... (Thu Aug 30 18:22:38 2001 )

I've been doing a lot of cel art lately, for
myself, friends, and as commissions, and I have a
sort of 'ethics' question about reproductions. I
have a very VERY large amount of anime in digital
form, and with some programs I have I can pretty
much go into any anime I have and pull out a
frame and reproduce it/splice it/customize it
whatever.

So the ethics question is, since I do a lot of
key cels, and you generally come across those in
in private galleries (and certain cels seem to
have been traded all OVER the internet) what do
you do if someone complains you have a cel that
is close to/ very similar to one of theirs?
