Hmm, it feels like things have been slow for the 
few days or so, so I thought I would bring some 
more activity back to this board (we cannot give 
Yann's servers any rest or respite!!!).

I'm simply amazed at the gigantic leap that in 
prices and purchasing of Yu Yu Hakusho cels since 
the beggining of this year.  What sparked off 
this sudden craze?  The show and the cels have 
been around FOREVER.  And the market prices for 
the cels have always been "reasonable" and pretty 
good for the past 3-4 years.  But now I'm seeing 
particular YYH cels selling in the hundreds of 
dollars range, some even more than recent high-
end Cowboy Bebop and Rurouni Kenshin cels.

Now I am aware that the show has been licensed 
and that the Region 1 DVD's are going to be 
released soon AND that there probably will be 
English broadcasts on cable or TV ... but even 
then I can't believe that this explains 
everything.  The YYH cel craze appears to be 
about as bad or worse than when Cowboy Bebop or 
Gundam Wing was broadcast.

Or maybe I just have a scewed view of what's 
going on currently.  In that case, I wanted to 
poll everyone collecting YYH cels and ask you:  
did you just recently started collecting YYH cels 
(less than a year ago) or have you been 
collecting for quite some time?  For those who 
have been collecting for a while, what do you 
think about the recent surge in YYH cel 
collecting?

I love the show to death, although I can't even 
seem to afford to collect good cels from this 
series any more.
