As some of you are well aware, my love of YYH 
borders on the obsessive (okay, fine, it *is* 
obsessive...) so I had to throw in my two cents:

The price of YYH cels has been steadily creeping 
up for quite some time now, and I think that the 
recent high prices are just the culmination of 
this trend. I've been collecting for almost 4 
years now, and cels of the most popular 
characters have always been difficult to find, 
mainly b/c the show is a lot older than most 
people think. When I was in Japan, I saw friggin' 
*stacks* of Evangelion and Ghibli cels for sale, 
but not a single one of Kurama or Hiei. That 
leads me to believe that most of the cels are in 
the hands of private collectors...and they 
probably won't be leaving anytime soon. And of 
course, hard to find = high prices. I've paid as 
much for my YYH cels as I have for the rest of my 
gallery combined. So honestly, the high prices 
really don't surprise me all that much. As long 
as people are willing to pay these prices *raises 
hand guiltily* they're gonna stay that way.

As for CN, I don't think they're to blame...yet. 
Unfortunately, I think they will be in the 
future. Ch'.
