I've had 5 cels and a genga framed. First off
$100 per cel is about what I've paid for most of
mine. The frame shop I go to has a ton of mat
colors to chose from (mats are the thick colored
paper that sits on top of and behind the cel as
needed)sitting out so you can do a test layout to
get a idea of what the cel will look like. whan
it comes to colors, LadyBrick can help you out,
she helped me on one of mine and the came out
quit nice. ^_^ Also the mats don't need to be one
solid color. I have one cel that has a reflective
mat for the background so it looks like it's
glowing frome behind just like in the movie. I
have another cel that the top mat looks like red
swade leather. Also when themat is cut the color
is only on the cery top of the mat. Most of the
time the mat will be white where it is cut
(a "white core") however you can get mats that are
made of black paper ("black core")instead of
white. Here's the cel with the reflective
background and black core mats. (this one costed
me $140 because it uses two mats, and the line
cut into the top mat)
