...to be frank, I don't have that many high
quality cels in my gallery, at least not from a
technical point of view. I'm more into shots that
show personality...in fact, there's one cel of
Mikael making a rather pissy face that all of my
friends insist is a face I make...I don't know if
that's a good thing,or a bad thing ^^;;

Anyway, here's the one that probably my "best"
cel, technically. Rare character (seen only in
two flashbacks, and only one of the flashbacks
featured this older form. There were actually
three flashbacks, but that's if you count the
fact one that is a clip portion of the larger
flashback), face-forward, eyes open shot portrait
shot, no line fading or paint splotching, comes
with sketch...my Fuyuki-oniichan cel.
Consequently, it's also one of my favorite cels
because of it's absolute beauty, especially for
such a deceptively simple shot. Time and again I
am awed at how this one blows me away...the
sunset-dappled tones, the sad look in his eyes,
the ghost of a tragic smile (god, I LOVE his
expression), the deep, dark shadows, all right
down to the sinews in his neck and wrinkles in
the top of his tie. And, sadly, none of this
beauty is see in the anime as he is backlit by
the setting sun, and so very little of his face
is seen on-screen, save for the slight phantoms
of his sad purple eyes smiling out at you.
Amazing...all of that work, and it's barely even
seen. It boggles the mind.

ALSO unfortunately, my scanner refuses to scan
him properly, and absolutely HATES the color of
his hair...ugggghh. Ahh, well.
