I am not saying that cable isn't spreding fast... We have it here, in Switzerland, since longer than you use it in USA. But that doesn't mean that it's the only solution. Even cable companies here are using other methods when they have customers in area where there isn't cable... and those solution aren't more expensive. (For example, renting a 1Km dedicated cable cost less than $30 per month. Over it, you can do 2Mbps with the right baseband modem.) Cheers, Yann Stettler |
