It seems like rumors about Disney's release have been flying
around forever.  I have heard more consistently that it will
be Claire Danes playing San (I never heard the Gillian Anderson
rumor before...perhaps as Eboshi?).  The DiCaprio rumor was
awhile back (though according to my friend's little sister,
DiCaprio is now no longer en vogue), but supposedly that's what
got Neil Gaiman to do the finishing on the dub script (so maybe
the dub will be very good ^^), supposedly he wanted an autograph
for his daughter.  Also among the choices for Ashitaka was
Matt Damon (sp?) though more recently I've heard other actors
in that spot.

They did some nice computer work in that movie, but it looked 
like there were still a lot of painted cels.  Also, I heard a lot
of strange stories revolving around the long and arduous process
of getting one.  Still, I'm never quite sure what is true.
