My 2 cents... continued (Fri Oct 23 13:45:00 1998 )

curbs my desire to get every cel I like; I become more
discriminate and only purchase the cels that strike me as
"canno do withouts." As such, I think i spend less on cels
than I would if I couldbetter afford them. (Though when I
get out of college, I can't say this won't change. :) Too
bad I can't say the same for Star Wars toys. :/ Anyway,
collectors will always try to sell at a profit, and that
can't be helped. What one can do about it is refuse to pay
an exorbinate amount for a cel. If a cel is not worth the
amount of money they are asking to you (as a fan of art),
then move on to another cel. That's a great thing about
anime, there a tons of serieses with tons of cels. Also,
remember that WE are the market. If things are too
for us as a group, prices will drop (for relying on a
couple individuals is an unwise business practise). The
market will stabilize itself out.

Thanks,
Tenchi

PS - sorry for the book. Hope it makes sense.. I'm pretty
tired. Just remember: if you are a collector, there is no
suck thing as too expensive (for you are collecting for
value), and if you are a fan of the art, just weigh your
love of the cel with the price being asked.
