Hello, As you said the paints are from general stock. It's pretty standarized between most of the studio. So most of the cels use the same paints and that paint is easly available to anyone wanting to make his own cel. Even the hue are standarized : a studio won't mix paints itself to get differant hue : that would generate too much problems to match colors between cels made at differant time. I think that you can find a "color reference chart" used by studio with the official number/ designation of each hue.... Cheers, Yann Stettler
