Hello,
No hanken ? Damn ! :)
Well, actualy I think that I already did it once on the
forum. Here is some example but take into account that
it's in part a matter of personal taste : I definitively
with "the more close-up the better" stuff : If part of
the head of a character is cut, I will prefer a less
close-up shot on which the character isn't cut...

I am going to take some obvious cels and others that
may go against the purely technical criteria listed
on other messages...

Grade A:
Ifrita
(It's better with her mouth slightly open)
Ifrita
(Not full from front but both eyes visible. Nice expression)
Ifrita
(Not a close-up but there is a "quality" to the drawing of this
cel that make me consider it A. Or at least very good B).

Iczer-2
(Not a close-up... but so much better than one ! :)

Ryoko

Grade B :
Ifrita
(Yes, she has a eyes close. But it's a nice cel and you can't
show the same expression with eyes open, smiling, can't you ??)

Iczer-2

Ryoko

Grade C :
Err... I don't have much grade C cels... :)
Ifrita
(IMHO, that's one of the less good Ifrita cel I have. Drawing
is just too plain compared to other ones. Also there is
the hand of Makoto (?) on the right side).

Iczer-2
Iczer-2
  (too cut...)

Ryoko

Also note that the quality of the cel isn't always in relation
with it's price : Often a eyecatch, opening or a "special meaning"
scene may be of lower artistic quality but more valuable
because of the rarity...

Cheers,
Yann Stettler
