Hello, It's not random : In the configuration file of the DNS, you specify the expiration time of the data. Others DNS will cache IP/name until the expiration time is reached, then they check again the original server for updated info. If a DNS is restarted, it lost all cached information and will check the main servers. Cheers, Yann Stettler
