I have kind of 2 opinions on people who sell their artwork... (which is basically illegal, but who's gonna stop it?)..it is not illegal so long as 50% percent of your work is not matching the picture you stole it from..so if someone did it free hand than they are safe so long as they don't trace.
I believe that whoever has the guts to sell their artwork really believes that they are good enough to do it and obviously whoever makes that bid on ebay believes it is also. Ihave seen art work of Kenshin go for over 50.00..A BASIC DRAWING THAT WAS DONE ON PAPER! Obviously all those people who bidded on it felt it was extremely good!
Although it is illegal, anybody can do it..if you don't like it, than don't be a part of it. I have purchased pieces that were done for me because I felt that person had some talent and was able to show it off proudly that they can do it! Don't you think that if you were doodling and drew a character that you liked that it wasn't illegal? Everybody and anybody does it! There is no way of stopping it unless you want to write that person and tell them that their drawing sux (and crush their hearts).
