A testimonial on a very old sticky tape covered cel! 8) (Thu Jun 22 23:14:02 2000 )

Dear Oion,

I almost forgot to mention this story! I bought a cel off
of eBay which had its edges dotted with several areas of old
brown/black/gray sticky residue leftover from some old
sticky tape that had been adhered to the cel at one point
(The description of the cel in the auction did mention the
damage to the cel surface (a little wrinkling and tape
residue).). I had wanted a cel from this series for
sometime, so I bought it and for a good price too even
though it was just a model cel. The gallery/seller TRIED to
clean off the residue for me, but with no luck! When I
received the cel, all the residue was still there, dirty and
still a little sticky. Using the stick-tape-and-remove-tape
method, I SUCCESSFULLY REMOVED ALL THE DIRTY STICKY RESIDUE
FROM THE ENTIRE CEL SURFACE! The cel is now clean as a
whistle even though there is still a little wrinkling to it!
If I had a scanner and some upload software, I could show
you the results, but I don't 8(. I should have taken a
before-and-after picture too, but I was just glad to remove
all that filth from the surface with NO CHEMICALS OR LIQUIDS
CLEANLY! The cel is now safely tucked into a cel bag in a
cel book =)!

Man, I AM AN INFOMERCIAL!! 8( Maybe I can get a job with
Ron Popeil and do a little demo (with the food dehydrator
and the rotisserie grill (I can't spell!))! Actually, one
of my sister's friends lives next door to Ron Popeil
himself! =P

Sincerely,

Sonia
