Yesterday, I had a wonderful experence concerning
cels. My parents and I went to a dinner party at
this guy's house, that my father is buisness
partners with. I didn't know it at the time, but
this guy as it turns out has this enormous house
overlooking the Puget Sound, and is an avid
collecter of Asian Art.

Sooo, After dinner, I was wandering through some
of the rooms, I came across this darkened room
which looked like a den/library type room at
first glance. As I peeked inside, I noticed
something rather stunning. This guy collects
cels! As I tried to make out what they were in
the darkenss, the guy suddenly appears behind me,
(really creepy) and asks if I would like to see
his cel collection. I said yes, trying to
restrain myself from looking too excited, and he
flipped on the lights. MY GOD..... It was like a
museum. He had at least 20 cels all framed on the
3 walls, each with it's own lamp and a brass
plate telling what the cel is.... The floor was
solid marble, and the walls were all ornately
carved wood. (Think Bruce Wayne's house from
Batman)

His collection was mostly all American, except
for one Original Evangelion Cel of Rei. It was
absolutely gorgeous, and I have no idea how he
found it. And he had 2 Lion King Cels (Both
originals) one of which cost him 82,000 dollars.
Yes, you read that correctly...

I told him about my Tenchi Muyo collection, and
he said that he would like to see it sometime! Of
course, I said that I would bring them the next
time we visited. Mabye Im acting strange, but I
am just awe struck at how broad ranging this
hobby is. It was a truly incredible experence to
see someone's collection displayed in this manner.

Well, I just wanted to share this story with you
all! Later!
