Hmm, maybe =/, but... (Fri Mar 23 22:30:08 2001 )

Well, at least I have the 4 hour Oscar broadcast to look forward to this weekend
Woohoo! That hunky Oscar!

Dear TK,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I knew that Anime
World Star DID do international sales before too,
but only for orders over $1000.00 =P, but this is
the first time I have seen them do this for
individual orders for cels on their webpage =/.

Also, I'm not sure if it would be cheaper to go
through a deputy service or not =/. If you were
after a cel that was only 1500 yen, 20% of that is
not that bad compared to a fixed rate of 1000 yen
plus the fact you have to pay for the payment fees
for bank transfers between the deputy service
and Anime World Star, shipping from Anime World
Star to the deputy service, AND shipping from
the deputy service to you then (which will usually
add another $12.00 to your cost since shipping
within Japan is usually $8.00 plus the payment
transfer between 2 Japanese banks is $4.00).
Shipping to the U.S. of course adds another 2000
yen.

If you go higher, it will still be the same =/.
Over 10000 yen (to 20000 yen), deputy services
charge 2000 yen PLUS you still have that $12.00
which I talked about above =/, making the extra
fees you pay OVER 20% of the cost of the actual
item.

HOWEVER, if you have a running accumulation with
the deputy service (i.e., you have a TON of items
being sent to you all at once), then it will be
cheaper to go through them instead of just through
Anime World Star =/. I guess it depends on how
fast you want your stuff =}.

Sincerely,

Sonia
