Ouch! tempers are flaring at the forum.

I've been collecting for a few years now and I've 
noticed that I'm one of the older people doing 
this. Most of the collectors seem to be teenagers 
or college students. They probably still live at 
home and don't have many expences. Some collectors 
just make a shitload of money. Anime attracts the 
computer geeks. Geeks = computer job = $$$.

I have a crap job but the pay is OK. I'm 31 but my 
expences are decent (My health insurance is killing 
me!). I recently shelled out 
$230 for a cel ( The most I've paid yet.) My 
collection is small, I'm picky about my cels 
because I can't really afford to buy a lot. I 
wanted to collect anime cels years ago but didn't 
know where to find them. Now that I know, I buy 
when I can.

"Evil Jewess" seems a little testy but she made a 
good point though. If you have the money, spend it! 
The only reason I was able to buy that expensive 
cel was because some money happened to come my way. 
Normally I could never afford that much. 

As far as finding good cels you just have to be 
dilligent. Some collectors are just RABID! I 
already feel like I'm spending far too much 
time doing this anyway. Finding a good deal on ebay 
is impossible. Good cels occasionally pop up but 
are always overbid. I did get some cool Kite cels 
once but some odd circumstances were in my favor (I 
won't go into it here.)

Sometimes I'm at the right place at the right time 
and I got the good cel. Usually I'm a day late and 
a (few hundred) dollar(s) short!

If your having fun that's all that matters.

P.S. I just found a really cool Outlaw Star cel but 
I CAN"T AFFORD IT!!!!
