I did not ? Would you care to read again my
mail please ? The point of my whole message
was to explain that for DBZ is not a question
of supply vs demand : There was far enough supply
for the demand.

Yes, I think there is. Perhaps not "large
quantities" but enough for the demand.

Rare cels can't be found even if you are will
to pay high prices. Expensive cels can be found,
they are just expensive. That's the differance
between a Deedlith/Belldandy cel and a DBZ cel.
(whatever the character from DBZ)

Do you really expect me to give you my sources
and contacts ?

By the way, I don't mean only in Japan : DBZ was
pretty popular in Europa many years before it
was released in USA. Many many many DBZ cels are
in France and they were bought a realy cheap
prices. If you know where to look, you can find
whole bunch of them...

> through the roof! That's called "demand" if
> people are willing to buy at those prices , No

Sometime that's also called stupidity : it's not
because you pay a high price for something that
it mean it is valuable.

Some expensive cels are valuable because they
have a value in themself. This value doesn't
depend of a temporary "fashion". Some are even
valuable whatever people know or not the anime.
The most extrem example is Miyazaki cels : they
are valuable because Miyazaki is famous. Such
cels are really considered like an artwork
worth to be exhibited in an art-gallery with
other kind of artworks.

Other cels, like some DBZ, are expensive only
because of a temporary "fashion" and because
some people increased the prices by being willing
to pay unjustified amounts. Those cels don't
have a real value in themself and their prices
will drop my a large amount as soon as the anime
won't be "in fashion" anymore or the buyers will
become more informed.

It's a common mistake to confuse valuable and
expensive. A valuable cel can be cheap : that's
what we call a good deal. An expensive cel
can have very little value : that's what we
call a bad deal... :)

Any cel can be expensive : just find someone
willing to pay the price (for whatever reasons.
Most of the time, because the buyer doesn't know
the prices). That doesn't mean that the cel is
worth it...
