because with the written word it is so hard to
convey the actual feelings behind what you are
saying. Like when I say "crazy," I mean it in a
more Martin Lawrence kind of way (anyone remember
that show?).

Also, I said that I didn't mean it in a mean or
nasty way, nor did I say that people were
dropping loads of money for poor quality cels. I
am not trying to ruin the moment for anyone. In
fact, I thought I was really continuing the
thread from earlier that has been pushed back to
page two. I didn't respond in that thread
because I hadn't heard back from Leigh and I
didn't know how much everything was going for.

And although I do realize that you said you
weren't trying to be catty, it's not like I
said "Oooh, boyfriend. I love this cel... buy it
for me please!" As much as I love the cels he
purchased for me, and as much as I would never
give them up, I would almost rather he had spend
the money on himself or put it in his savings
account. Not that it wasn't a nice surprise
(especially since they were Christmas gifts that
I didn't get until Valentine's Day).

And I do realize I have a nice collection, but I
also know that if I wait long enough, I can find
a cheaper cel that I will not feel so bad when I
look at it. For example, my girl Nuriko cel...
there was one on ebay that went for several
hundred dollars and then a few months later one
from the same sequence (the one I bought) turned
up on Taro for less than a hundred.

That said, if an open-eyed Tamahome from the
opening sequence ever showed up anywhere, I would
probably *want* to pay any amount for it, since
it is my FY dream cel. However, after a certain
price, I would look at the cel as a loss of
money, and not an acquisition of something I love.
