I believe what Yann said to be correct- however I'd like to
point out somthing I find kind of interesting in the way
copyrights/fanstuff is handled.
First of all, What's the deal with all these EVA
reproduction cels?  How can these possibly be sold all the
time?  Did ADvision or the other folks involved ever give
permission for this?  Did that "fan club" ever pay any rights?
Yet they are making a lot of money off someone else's character.
Now, let's look at cels in general.  One person or group 
comes up with a story and character design.  But tons of 
different people animate the series, drawing and painting
the sketches and cels.  
If someone that used to draw Rei in Eva draws a
pic of her just to sell, that's probably not legal, even 
though they drew another one and it sold legitamately.  
(when it was part of the series).
And the person who designed the character probably never
put her image on a cel!
Does this seem a little odd to anyone?
