baddabing

Uh oh, the world has once again failed to live up to AniBoyBob's
expectations!
Try thinking about this, kiddo: you set a /reasonable/ low bid to
get interested people bidding. You don't start bidding at the minimum
you would accept or no one would bid! You set a reserve price so that
you don't take too much of a loss if no one is overly interested in
what you are selling.
I've watched identical items on ebay, one with a low minimum bid and a
reserve of say $200, and one with a starting bid of $200. The one with the reserve
went up to $275 , while the one with the $200 starting bid and no reserve got NO BIDS.
No, it's not logical, but it's the way things work. Deal.
