Re: Fair Use of Cel Scans (Mon Oct 4 05:24:45 1999 )

A very interesting topic for discussion....
I take images of cels that I am buying so that I will not have to subject the cel to more light from the scanning process.
I prefer sites that do not put their name on the cels, althought I do understand why they do.
I usually take image of a cel I order, and keep it if I do get the cel, does save me time, and is less harmful to the cel.(yes I confess I do hate scanning )
I have seen someone try and sell a cel of Hotaru from Sailor Moon that was on another site.....luckily nobody sent in any bids, it too was on ebay.
Good reason to use Money Orders...they at least be traced and have legal reprocussions for those that try fraud.
It sad that collectors feel that they cannot show their best cels because of such a problem.
I have seen cels I have bought remain on sites for several months,(good advertising I am sure),which some might think is a problem...but the way I see it is...I have the cel, so no problem for me.
Some cels disappear right after being purchased; and hense can not even be seen, which is too bad, but again I do understand some reasons for it.
again, I think this one was a great subject for discussion.
