I think you made a bit of a mistake about the computer animation- from what I understand the sketches are still hand drawn, but then scanned in and colored. Your cels, unless hand inked, are also scanned into a xerox and then painted. Yes, I love cels and will miss them, but don't assume using computers means no artistic input or talent is required- certainly, correction is easier, but talent for colors and shading is still required, and that comes from the artist even if they are using pixels instead of paints. |
