In Japan, Lupin III is MUCH more popular than here. Why do you think there has been a new special every year since the eighties and before that three television series and a manga from as far back as the 60s? Anyhow, the episode that cel was from, Miyazaki was very famous for directing in Japan. It is a good thing that a) either the cel dealer Nichibei got it from in Japan was generous or b) both parties didn't recognize it was a Miyazaki cel. I also wish no one had heard of Totoro. -_- I'd love to have a cel of Mei and O-Totoro. ;_; Geez...I was young when I first saw that movie. O_o valerie |
