Okay, yes, its TRUE, I'll give you that... but having a hobby and discussing
it with other people is all about having fun, and if it's fun for people to
throw out random bits of Japanese, I say let them do it! ^_^

Judging by the other fans I know, I speak more Japanese than a lot of them,
I'm not fluent but I know where you're coming from. However, even I sometimes
slip and squeal "kawaii!" in the middle of Mandarake or something... but it's
an old stupid habit, my friends know that, and I don't really care what anyone
other than my friends thinks.

As for the subject of posting entirely in Japanese, don't you think that
would start just as many angry messages, something along the lines of "If you
dont want everyone to be able to read it don't post it" ? I'd rather see
people be annoying than mean, personally... and I don't think "kawaii" is
really annoying... as someone else just posted (dont remember who, sorry!)
it DOES have a different connotation than "cute" for a lot of us. "Cute"
just brings to mind little junior high girls drooling over the Backstreet Boys
for me.... ^_^
